about me...

For those who don’t know me, here a short description.

The first time I saw the light of day was on the first of August in 1980. I have the chance to have a Spanish mother and a ‘Swiss German’ father, so I grew up with both languages, Spanish and German. Other than that I can’t tell you more about my first years because I simply don’t remember it.

In fact my parents kept talking to me in Spanish during the first years.
But growing up in the Swiss German part of Switzerland I soon learned to speak another language so I could understand my new fellows in the kindergarten: the Swiss German of course.

I admit it was a weird change to get used to all the “chchchch” compared to the lovely sound of the Spanish language I was used to before.
But I had no alternative if I wanted to understand anybody and so I learned quickly. I won’t continue to bore you with more details… but to sum up, me and my two younger brothers Daniel and Juan-Pablo, had a very nice childhood influenced by two different cultures which is a very precious experience which I wouldn’t want to miss at all.

That I would end up studying computer science was not clear to me for a long time. An important experience was for sure my exchange year in Canada where I spent an exciting and unforgettable year! I had the chance to meet a great math teacher who taught and showed me how much fun math can be. I remember also Gary, my host father, showing me on his computer this strange program which allowed to search information around the world and which today is nothing else but the Internet!

I guess it was the fascination about this new technology and simple curiosity which made me enrol in computer science at the epfl in Lausanne.

That’s when I met a boy which would change my life… There was something special about this boy called Mathias... and I couldn’t help but to fall in love with him.

The next years passed by very quickly… Currently I am doing my master and hope to finish my studies in about a year.

In my spare time I love to do sports in particularly outside enjoying nature at the same time. I like to do all kinds of sports like running, biking, hiking tours, roller (speed) skating, swimming, ice-hockey, volleyball, etc.

I also like to read mostly thrillers, watch movies, cook or travel!
